Do you know anyone who wears glasses or contacts? Why? How do glass or contacts help? Both my parents wear glasses. My mum multi-focal glass so she can she things closer up and further away with the same pair. My dad is short sighted so he wears glasses to focus on close up objects.
Are there other solutions for people with visual impairments? If you don't want wear glasses you can wear contact lenses which do the same thing as glasses but sit on top of your eyes. Use the resource from the last section to find out about visual impairments

Macular degeneration- the deterioration of the macular, the most sensitive part of the retina, leading to loss of central vision.
